Back in March 2008 I wrote a short little post called Just Six Words. The basic idea was that you had six short categories and you only got to write six words in response to each category. The original idea came from a guy named Kevin Eikenberry, and I link to his post from the other one. Truthfully, I doubt he even knows I took the challenge; trackbacks, folks.

That post got little attention back then, and I thought it was a great time to bring it back to see if it can get more interest now. I find that people are usually of two minds. There's the group that won't participate in something like this because they think they don't have time, they don't want to think too deeply about things personally, or they really don't want to share anything too deep about themselves in public. Then there's the other group that loves seeing things like this and playing along, seeing how their answers match or don't match with the person who created it.

I wondered how I would answer those six questions the second time around, and thus I decided to do it again, without really looking at my previous answers. Obviously I had to look, but I couldn't remember a single thing I'd seen, as I only glanced at it. Here are my answers now; you'll have to check out my previous post to see what my answers were before:

your beliefs

people, freedom, fairness, life, attraction laws

your goals

success, achievement, influence, wealth, health, happiness

your vision

comfort, business success, notoriety, fame, respect

your team

consultants, peers, partners, sharing, encouraging, growing

your family

warmth, comfort, always there, supportive, home

your leadership style

fair, honest, considerate, set standards, educator

I did take a look after I had completed the project, and I was more amazed at the differences than the similarity in my own responses. Funny how a few years can alter one's thinking. Think about doing this for yourself; you might be amazed at what you find.
