New Theme Design
Posted by Mitch Mitchell on Sep 27, 2008
After four years I have finally decided it was time to update my theme, and so I present the new theme to the world this evening. Okay, it's 2:30 in the morning, but I haven't gone to bed yet so it's still evening.
The other theme was the original theme of WordPress, and it's served its purpose in life, but times have changed and I needed more room and a totally different look to try to bring myself into this new age. My other theme was fairly thin, and with only one sidebar, things just tended to look messy and, well, it made the page longer.
Anyway, I owe big thanks to Paul, who created this theme, and a guy known as Copyblogger, who created the original theme, which only had two columns. I had taken the theme and made a few changes to it, and I expect I'll be making more changes as I go along.
I hope you like the theme and find it more pleasant to view.
Nice theme Mitch. Did it give you any dramas? I know I always come along a few when I change themes. I much prefer the three column designs.
Yes, I’ve had some drama, and I’m still having it. It won’t format properly on Opera, so those folks are going to think it’s a mess. Also, I can’t figure out how to get to the “archives” and “about” areas shown above. I did notice that it doesn’t totally hold its format in IE7 if one has their fonts set to be large, as that’s how I was initially seeing it. But I love the look of it, and I think it’ll function much better for me overall; at least I hope so.
Yep, I get a 404 error. Nothing in the Docs about how to configure it? Perhaps you could ask the developer about it.
No docs came with it; I just might have to go back and ask the developer, unless he checks his comments, sees that I also trackbacked him, and comes over for a look.
It came through great for me. I really like it. Well done!

Thanks John; glad it transferred well to your browser.
