Sometimes, the problem with learning something new in history is that someone else wants to accuse you of revisionist history. Well, sometimes that's just too bad, because, for most things, the truth will win out, and long held notions of what is are dashed and revealed for what they are, which means they're untrue.

This story is about hockey, and it would seem that its history actually lays in the hands of black people, the progeny of former slaves who were founding fathers of a game that now has almost no black players. I found this interesting, and felt that I had to share it, to try to open it up to a larger audience. I actually owe the knowledge of this clip to my wife's cousin; thanks Pat.
