Greetings, and welcome to the joined
information page of Presentations Plus and
SEO Xcellence. We are Renee Scherer
and Mitch Mitchell respectively. As promised, we want to share with you the information we
garnered from the survey we conducted over the course of one month.
The purpose of our survey was threefold. One, we want to see what kind of interest people
in general had in presentations and what types of things they were interested in learning about,
based on the knowledge we have to share. Two, we wanted to see how people would like seminars
delivered to them. And three, we want to gauge what people's perceptions were on certain things.
We sent the survey out to over 450 people, and we also put the survey online and canvassed
internet visitors. We received 75 responses, a 17% response rate. Not great, but not bad
either, understanding that many people just don't like doing surveys. Because of the nature
of the questionnaire, some questions allowed for more than one answer. Also, some people
didn't answer all the questions. So, what we've done is taken the total number of votes and
come up with the percentages for every question.
So without further ado, here's what our survey came up with:
The top 9 topics people would be interested in learning something about:
- Web 2.0 - 9.3%
- Excel 2007 - 8.8%
- Management/Leadership - 7.4%
- Motivation - 6.9%
- Business Websites - 6.9%
- Outlook 2007 - 5.9%
- Customer Service - 5.9%
- Word 2007 - 5.4%
- Powerpoint 2007 - 5.4%
Type of workshop you would prefer to participate in:
- Live - 57.4%
- Online - 34%
- Podcast - 8.5%
How much would you expect to pay for each type of workshop:
- Live $25 - $75 - 40%
- Live $76 - $150 - 48.6%
- Live more than $151 - 11.4%
- Online $20 - $50 - 76.5%
- Online $51 - $100 - 23.5%
- Podcast $10 - $30 - 81.5%
- Podcast $31 - $65 - 11.1%
- Podcast $66 - $100 - 7.4%
What length of workshop would you prefer?
- 1-hour session - 35.7%
- multiple sessions - 16.7%
- 2-4 hour sessions - 42.9%
- all day seminars - 4.8%
Would you purchase a recording of the program at a later time if you couldn't participate live?
Other information to mention is that even the people who responded online stated that they would
prefer live presentations to online presentations, and they agreed fully with the prices of each
seminar category except podcasts, where they indicated they'd be willing to pay more. Online
responders also stated they were more likely to purchase presentations they couldn't make later on.
Thank you for reviewing our survey information. This information is proving valuable to us
as we work on planning both seminars and webinars for the coming year. If you would like to make sure
