The friend issue has to be a tough one, but unless he's your best friend that you've known since you were a child, he probably wouldn't believe you and even if he did, you'd still end up being the bad guy in most situations. I rarely ask for it and seldom give it unless asked. I have a mate who I thought his wife is taking advantage of him, and I would like to tell him to stand up for himself, but i figured it's not for me to say. Perhaps he's happy the way things are and who am I to mess it all up, and so I keep it to myself. He now has two beautiful daughters and although there are times still where I wouldn't let her get away with certain things, that's just me.
