Listen with webreader

I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since the last time I wrote about myself as a professional speaker. At that time, I had just recently completed my first keynote presentation on charge master and charge capture processes in Virginia, outside of Washington D.C.

What kind of seminars can I give? There’s plenty I can talk about, and have talked about.

Obviously I can talk about health care finance issues, as I’ve spoken to many groups on these things. I can talk about management and leadership, diversity, and customer service issues as well. I did a webinar back in July on social media and SEO, and I’ve spoken to other groups about SEO and business websites. And I’ve done a lot of interviews on many topics, most of which are either here somewhere or on my I’m Just Sharing blog.

For these types of things, I’m ready to travel if necessary. Of course, I want to be paid, but I think I’m fair with what I charge for giving presentations. I’d also love to finally do a full presentation on motivation; I’ve had that one planned for awhile, but have never had the opportunity to give it. Maybe this will be the year, eh?

Now, to some, it may seem unseemly that I’m putting it out like this as far as wanting to speak. Well, you saw in my last post that this is something I’m passionate about. It might as well start at home, I figure, and then I’ll branch out with the marketing more in other areas later on. It’s funny in that I wrote a post on my other blog last year asking if we, as business people, can stomach sales. Overall, I believe “no”, we can’t handle it all that well.

But it’s time to change some of that. After all, I am an independent businessman, with lots of things to offer, and I deserve to be compensated for some of it. I’m learning that I can’t just sit at home waiting for people to call me; I should have learned that one about 4 years ago, I think. Still, I’m not looking for something for nothing; I’m ready to give my all.

So, who needs a presenter on some topic that’s right up my alley. I hear the world wanting something – ME! ;-)
