Thanks for your comment, LM. Giving can feel really good, and hopefully there are no ulterior motives to it, at least for one's friends.

Once in a while, we come across people who are way too calculative. They don't give freely until they evaluate what they can get in return. It's sad but I think a lot of people are like that in life without realizing that giving in itself is a blessing.

You said "If you show loyalty, trustworthiness, and honesty to the people you most value in your life, you will get it back in more ways than you can imagine."

I can't agree more with that.

In fact, it works with all aspects of life - business, charity and more.

Give all that you can and you'll recieve abundance.

T.T. Mitchell,

Congratulations! This post was selected to be part of February's Carnival of Trust, hosted this month by Bret L. Simmons.

The Carnival is a monthly compilation of the top blogposts dealing with the subject of trust, be it in business, politics or society. Your post is an extremely moving account on how trust and friendship usually is something that goes hand in hand. True friendship usually does equate to an automatic sense of protectiveness over the other. I was touched by your piece, thank you for sharing.

Again, congratulations. To see the entire Carnival, please go to: http://www.bretlsimmons.com/2010-02/february-2010-carnival-of-trust/

Best,
Kristin
