On April 7th, I will be giving a teleseminar for a company called Briefings Publishing Group. The topic is Celebrating Differences in a Diverse Workplace: Tips for Using Employee Diversity to Your Advantage. I have no idea how much it costs to sign up, but if you’re interested you can check out the link here.

It’s funny how people find me every once in awhile. In this case, this group found me because of an article I wrote a long time ago, that I allowed someone else to reprint, called Acknowledge Differences – and Build Better Workplaces and a Better World, although, oddly enough, that wasn’t my original title. It was one of my earlier newsletters, one I never put on my own site, but the idea of being found and asked to do something like this is good no matter how I’m found. This is what the power of the internet is all about, and in my other career as an internet marketing specialist for small businesses, I talk all the time about how, if one sets themselves up properly on the internet, they could obtain business from places they’d never considered.

Another for instance is that today I was interviewed for a newspaper article on staying positive. This comes about because of someone I met who’s a big time participant on Twitter, and next week some representatives will be coming to the house to get an “action” shot of me in my office, which should be interesting since the only action I’m usually taking in my office is sitting at my desk typing, every once in awhile picking up the phone.

I hope everyone’s ready to celebrate differences; when you do that, you usually find many more similarities.
