Hi Shirley. It's probably asking too much because, unfortunately, this situation is way more political than it needs to be. Turf war kind of thing, it would seem.

The unfortunate circumstances regarding the events you attended mirror what occurs in my area -- many vendors, few attendees, dismal parking (except when events are held at the Meadowlands Convention Center).

What you experienced is the reason why I attend few events in my area, and there's another reason. I rarely, if ever, find like-minded visionaries for conversations.

In addition, vendors push their product rather than find common ground with you, developing into a relationship which results in sales and long-term referrals. When will they learn?

Perhaps the coordinators will work on accommodations for next year. Or is that asking too much?
