Wow, I thought I’d responded to this one already, but I must have forgotten to save it. I agree with you, Mirjam, to a point. Yes, the world needs to work together on a lot of our problems, but, when it comes to finances, most of the rest of the world seems to look to see what the U.S. market looks like before determining how theirs is going to go. It’s been proven over the last bunch of months anyway. So, in this particular instance, President Obama really needs to fix the American economy, and by doing do the rest of the world’s economy should come together around the same time. It’s an interesting symbiosis, but it’s there.

I’m glad you watched all the debates and such; you probably watched more than I did, but I was definitely informed way beforehand on what I wanted.

I don´t think it is the work of One Nation if that is referring to the US of A …. I believe it will have to be the work of One World.

When “things” in the US started falling apart, a whole chain of “things” started falling apart around the whole world and it was freakin´ hard to watch the elections that would influence not just America but my country and others worlwide, without having the opportunity to cast my vote on the person that would influence my future as well.

I watched all the debates even though they were broadcasted when I should have been sound asleep, I watched election day, right through the night up till 7 am to see if my favorite would really win or not.

And like 90% of the Dutch population, I celebrated knowing that Obama had won.

I think more than just One Nation are looking for more togetherness worldwide

Unfortunately, based on the “turmoil” caused with some of his cabinet picks, not for who they were but for what they “weren’t”, I don’t think so. And that’s just a shame.

Like you, I realize he won’t be able to fix everything. This will take the work of One Nation not One Man. I just hope everyone else realizes this and don’t turn on him when he is not the end all be all.
