True Steve, you could ask, but I don't know that I could really define which one is the most important. As to answering your second question, the one answer for all of them except #3 is money, plain and simple. The answer for #3 is information, which, if money comes as I expect, will then free up enough time for it. :-)

I could ask you the obvious like what is the most important goal on the "Mitch List" today? But, I'm not going to do that.

What do you need to start, stop, and continue doing? Try this one on and see if it fits.

A good, and yes, attainable list! I'd like to offer two suggestions. The first I know about all, too well! It can seem so hard to find the time to write - I seem to be chasing money so often that my writing gets pushed aside until I have "more time". But, a trick I've learned is to sit down and work on my writing projects whenever I can't work on anything else. Holidays are excellent for that! You know that everything beyond convenience stores are closed from Christmas to New Years. So, it makes it a perfect time to get writing! If you've sent out all of your pitches for the day - you then easily have 30 - 60 minutes to at least look over what you've written so far.

The other is how to get focused. It can be just as tough to get motivated - especially if you're worried about current money issues. But, I've found that if I agree with myself to sit down and work on a script - re-writes or whatever - for even an hour before bed, I get a lot done! And, what always surprses me is how easily I get jazzed about working, simply because I'm looking at it with fresh eyes. Before I know it, I've got pages more than I'd planned on doing!
Once while looking for work back in Texas, I sat down one saturday and opened a script I'd only written about a quarter of. Knowing that I couldn't do anymore job searches until Monday, I ended up pulling an all-nighter and finishing the bloody thing! By Sunday evening I had the first draft done and printed out to begin the re-write process!

I'm telling ya, both practices work big-time!
