I Am The Mother,…

There is a poem, of sorts, that’s suddenly going all around the internet. It’s somewhat confusing to me because it was written many years ago, and I’m not sure what’s triggering it now. However, I think it’s powerful and important to share as we fight against homophobia, because, after all, who really cares how people decide they want to live their lives if they’re not harming anyone else, right?

I don’t want to repost the whole thing here because it’s already in many venues, but if you click on this link, it’ll take you to the best site I could find the poem, along with a little back story on it that’s just sad.

Prejudice comes in many forms; we need to overcome all of them.
