Reserve Index; How Are You Doing?

(originally published March 26th, 2005)

How much inner strength do you believe you have? Are you game to take a test? A friend of mine sent this to me, Sue Tosto, and it’s called the Reserve Index. You can download the pdf by clicking here. It’s 100 questions, and the idea is that the more positive answers you have, the more inner strength you actually have in your life.

Now, if you’re like me, you’re probably thinking that you have a pretty good life, and that this will be easy to do. I printed two copies, one for myself and one for my wife, and we proceeded to complete the thing. Well, I only had 11 items that I could check; I was shocked. I asked my wife about hers and she said she didn’t get to 10. So I sent it to a few other friends, just to see how they did; no one else made 10 either. This means I’m ahead of the game, but I still only have 11 positives; that doesn’t sit well with me at all.

To be truthful, there are a couple here that I don’t even want to get to, but that’s not really the point. The point says that if you wanted to, you could do these things, and if the scope of things, I can’t truthfully say that I can easily do some of those things that I don’t have any interest in doing anyway.

Take the test, and post back how you did. I rarely make promises, because to me it means I’m making the ultimate commitment, and I have to do it. In this case, though, I made a commitment that I’m going to get to at least 20 of these by the end of the year. Can I do it? I made a promise, didn’t I?
